Which team is this in

REA is evolving how it leverages data and technology to deliver benefits for customers. PropTrack provides property data and technical platform solutions to customers in the financial and government sectors. The Engineering Team within PropTrack works together to deliver solutions to our internal and external customers. It is the core delivery centre for developing solutions to meet customer priorities and align with PropTrack's technology strategy.

What the role is all about

Working with our team of QAs, you’ll be focussing on a quality framework that will contribute to the success of the tribe’s mission.

You'll be responsible for working with several cross-functional squads to design, build, and maintain our products, as well as improving the quality of solutions implemented.

Day to day of the job

  • Improving quality, capability and insight through initiatives & other activities.

  • Monitoring key quality system metrics and process indicators to ensure adherence to compliance and performance expectations

  • Liaising with product team, business analysts and developers in team(s) level to ensure that planned testing meets their requirements, to identify risks on solutions and devising mitigation plans.

  • Using your experience and foresight to critique by involving in Discovery 60,90% sessions

  • Defining test strategy for end-to-end testing and test coverage

  • Determining the appropriate testing techniques and tools to be used for end-to-end testing, such as automated testing or manual testing approaches

  • Championing agile software quality practices such as developer pairing and bug bashes

  • Contributing to the Quality Guild community by sharing learnings and uplifting the knowledge and skills of others.

  • Providing mentoring and guidance to less experienced members of the team

Who we’re looking for

To set yourself up for success in this role you will have ideally gained experience in the following areas:  ​

  • Skills in Web and API testing

  • Working with a large team as a quality engineer/quality coach

  • Building and maintaining automation frameworks: both UI and API

  • Working with continuous integration practices and tools

  • Developing test automation architecture using open-source frameworks like Cypress or Playwright for Web and API

  • Defining and implementing testing strategies for multiple large teams

  • As a bonus, knowledge of monitoring or maintaining system quality in production
