Nutanix Sales Development Representative in Sydney, Australia

Sales development is one of the most critical processes an organisation can build to deliver a consistent, seamless, and efficient revenue machine. Nutanix (NTNX) is looking for a motivated and driven Sales Development Representative (SDR) who will play a pivotal role in the generation of pipeline. This will be accomplished by connecting with prospects supplied by marketing teams on a one-to-one basis and through multiple communication avenues e.g., calling, LinkedIn messages, emails etc. You will also work closely with field sales to break open key target whitespace accounts all of which are critical for the company’s continued growth. The most successful SDRs seek out opportunities by building rapport with prospects, taking the time to understand the customer environment, educating them on our solution in order to facilitate closing deals.

About the Team

At Nutanix, you will be part of the Inside Sales team, comprised of 6 SDRs based across different locations in the APJ region, including ASEAN, India, Taiwan, and Japan. You will report to the Senior Manager, Inside Sales. The work setup for this role is hybrid, with an expectation for the candidate to be present in the office in Sydney for at least 2-3 days a week to collaborate closely with stakeholders.

There are no travel requirements for this role as it primarily focuses on remote engagement with clients and prospects.

Your Role

  • Identify and nurture potential new business opportunities for sales with the aim of growing the pipeline through inbound and outbound initiatives and schedule first-call meetings with prospects for the field sales reps​

  • Follow up on all leads generated through marketing campaigns to ensure timely response to potential customers​. Provide ongoing feedback to marketing in order to help improve targeting and lead quality

  • Maintain a high level of daily activity through calls, connections, emails and utilize a variety of prospecting tools to uncover relevant prospects to target

  • Work cross-functionally with field sales, channel, and marketing teams to deliver meetings and qualified opportunities, and build new target account lists for sales led campaigns

  • Execute outbound sales led campaigns to drive in new business acquisition for the assigned territory

What You Will Bring

  • 2+ years of successful sales experience preferred

  • 2+ years of solution sales experience in software or IT products or services preferred

  • A bachelor's degree, preferably in business, communications, marketing, or a technical discipline

  • Knowledge of Virtualization, Storage, and cloud computing marketplaces preferred

  • A proven track record of consistency in overachieving targets preferred

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills with the ability to communicate to cross-functionally and with diverse end-user audiences

  • Tenacious and ambitious with a good work ethic and interest in selling

  • Must be able to effectively find, assess, and prioritize sales opportunities

  • Proactive with demonstrated creative and critical thinking capabilities

  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and rapidly prioritize and adapt to changing initiatives

  • Fascinated by technology and passionate about selling ground-breaking ideas and products

  • Willingness to learn, be coached and implement new sales techniques
