Amazon Australia is seeking a highly-motivated, and experienced leader to lead Operations team for Fulfillment by Amazon (FBA) business for Australia (AU) and Singapore (SG). This role requires a leader with the vision necessary to take the team to the next level of excellence. FBA is built around Amazon’s world class capability in ordering, fulfillment, transportation and Customer service. By leveraging our current scale and supply chain, FBA can provide a low-cost alternative for fulfillment and enable third party selling partners to rapidly grow their business. The FBA Operations team is a critical operational group that is responsible for success of our selling partners by providing innovative solutions for operations, processes, inventory management. The team also coaches selling partners on defects, and manages escalations.

As a Program Manager of FBA Operations you will own the implementation and management of processes for inbound transportation, Fulfillment Center receive, inventory, and reverse logistics problems in order to support a successful Fulfillment by Amazon business. This person will manage FBA Operations programs and will be responsible for creating metrics that will provide insights into day to day performance while also identifying necessary improvements. The incumbent will be the subject matter expert for all operational initiatives for FBA AU & SG. You will audit, hold other internal teams accountable through defined metrics, handle escalations, improve processes (e.g., SOPs or automation) and effectively communicate with key stakeholders.

Key job responsibilities

In this role you will be a leading a team of 4 operations program managers in Australia and have a dotted line with 3 investigation specialists in India. You will also work closely with Amazon Operations and Supply Chain teams. You will be responsible for organizational design, establishing and tracking performance standards, developing strategies for employee engagement and identifying and leading process improvement opportunities.

Keys to a successful candidate include strong written/verbal communication skills, ability to lead and motivate large teams, managing through ambiguous situations and a result driven focus. You must have demonstrated experience working in a cross-functional capacity and have a proven track record of delivering operational excellence within a fulfilment center environment.

Basic Qualifications

  • 5+ years of working cross functionally with tech and non-tech teams experience

  • 5+ years of team management experience

  • 5+ years of cross functional project delivery experience

  • 5+ years of program or project management experience

  • Experience defining program requirements and using data and metrics to determine improvements

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience managing, analyzing and communicating results to senior leadership
