As a PDM Manager within Amazon Web Services (AWS), you will have the exciting opportunity to deliver on our strategy to build mind share and adoption of Amazon Web Services’ Cloud Computing Platform covering a wide area of services from infrastructure to Artificial Intelligence, IoT, Machine Learning, Big Data and analytics and Mobile services across AWS’s customers by leveraging partners.

You will drive the AWS business opportunities with our SI and Global ISV (GISV) Partners by teaming with the PSMs, CoE Teams, AWS Field teams and their leadership. This requires setting up and executing on strong business planning which is aligned to AWS ANZ’s commercial objectives and ensuring that all stakeholders, including but not limited to PDMs, SI, GISVs, Field Teams and Partner Sales are all co-ordinated through account planning, pipeline management, sales forecasting, executive engagement and revenue attainment.

The ideal candidate will possess a business background that enables him/her to engage at the CxO level and to easily interact with enterprise customers and sales/field reps. Specifically, the ideal candidate will possess strong analytical, business planning, matrix management, and Partner sales experience as this role requires the ability to influence, co-ordinate and ensure that all outcomes from the Partner community are effectively managed.

You should also have a demonstrated ability to think strategically about business, product, and technical challenges, with the ability to build and convey compelling value propositions.

Key job responsibilities

  • Have a holistic view of the SI and GISV Partner Community in the context of the ANZ business, a deep understanding of the partner capabilities and solutions across all Partners being represented in ANZ.

  • Have strong interlock with the Partner Managers who run the individual SI and GISV relationship in ANZ.

  • Collaboratively set out, execute and manage the aggregated SI and GSIV portfolio in ANZ as it relates to strategy, demand generation, pipeline management, forecasting, executive sponsorship and revenue attainment.

  • Set up and execute a operational cadence in ANZ which ensures that Partners are well represented in the market but specifically ensure there is strong governance on relationship mapping and Executive cadence.

  • Work with all levels of AWS commercial business (ANZ, , CoE and Global) to ensure GSI are leveraged to be a significant contributor to the ANZ business.

A day in the life

This role is a central orchestration point for all portfolio management for the SI and GISVs in ANZ. Specifically:

  • Ensure all PDMs have clear expectations on what their roles and responsibilities are:

  • Set up weekly, monthly and quarterly operating cadence with key Partners:

  • Have a regular review of PDM scorecards for measuring against progress on goals:

  • Execute consistent mechanisms to scale the business through 2x2s, showcases and other mechanisms such as writing, speaking.

  • Continually, amplify the key attributes of Partners and ensure the PSM and Field teams are aware of all ciritical Partner capabilities.

Basic Qualifications

  • 10+ years of building and leading large teams and working in matrixed operating structures experience

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent

  • Experience working and communicating with multiple stakeholders, C-level executives and cross functional teams or equivalent

  • Experience in strategic thinking about business, enterprise software products, and new technology platforms and architectures or equivalent

Preferred Qualifications

  • 5+ years of managing and developing high performance teams experience
