As a Legacy Modernisation Solutions Architect (Microsoft Azure) at Avanade, you will lead presales engagements, providing expert services to solution large complex deals that span multiple technologies and offerings. You will lead the delivery team and provide Architecture guidance and direction leveraging your deep knowledge of Microsoft Azure and .Net Platforms. You are also seen as a technology leader within the Software Engineering community and you routinely share your knowledge on bleeding edge topics in community and internal events.

What you’ll do

• Contribute across all phases of Avanade projects (e.g. Plan, Analyse, Design, Build and Test)

• Leverage technical expertise to Architect Design and Solution

o Custom software solutions - greenfield and brownfield

o Legacy Modernisation Solutions - legacy applications and mainframe

o Cloud Migration, Journey to Cloud and Journey in Cloud Solutions

• Liaise effectively between clients, IT staff, and business partners to ensure high quality and timely delivery

• Assess Client requirements and scope and recommend appropriate solutions

• Design Conceptual and Technical architecture

• Ensure project quality meets high technical standards

• Partner with cross-functional technology and design teams to ensure consistent, positive client interaction and solution delivery

• Support the team in defining technical, operational and user requirements

• Work under general guidance and direction, but fully independent in own work with latitude for autonomous decision-making related to work process

• Lead Pre-Sales engagements, meeting tight timelines

Travel as needed. You may be required to travel based on presales and project demands

About you

• You are familiar with the core Microsoft offerings and an understanding of broader Microsoft Ecosystem e.g. D365 CRM, Data & AI and Security

• You have consulting experience working with external clients

• You have client management skills and the ability to work with clients to develop and manage an action plan

• You have implementation experience across multiple industries

• You possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills

• You have pre-Sales experience especially with right-fit solutioning based on high level or ambiguous requirements and a good understanding of pricing strategies

• You are experienced with proposal Writing, Product Demonstration and Presentations

Skills & Experiences

• Architecting large complex solutions using the Microsoft Stack

• Experience in Microsoft Azure, .Net Platforms, Azure DevOps, Web, API and Mobile

• Experience in a Software as a Service (SaaS) environment, SQL Server, HTML, C#, .NET

• Experience in one of Cast Imaging, Cast Highlight, Micro Focus CloudPilot

• Experience in application portfolio assessments. 7 R Dispositions

• Solid understanding of Microsoft Cloud Adoption Framework for Azure

• Solid understanding of Microsoft Azure Well-Architected Framework

• Experience working in both Agile and Waterfall delivery models

Desirable Certifications

• AZ-204: Azure Developer Associate

• AZ-305 Microsoft Azure Solutions Architect
