The HRBP role continues to evolve and gain critical importance to provide strategic partnership to the business and operate at the frontline of organization, talent, and leader strategies all while being role models of Microsoft values and culture and ensuring compliance. As part of a bigger HR ecosystem the HR Business Partner drives impact with their business and directly influences the overall employee experience.

Microsoft Australia and New Zealand has an exciting (parental leave coverage) opportunity for a strategic HR Business Partner who is both a leader and a strategic advisor to their business counterparts. This opportunity is on a maximum term contract of 1 year.

Responsibilities

  • The HRBP core responsibilities span three areas: Organization System, Leadership, and Talent Management. Diversity & Inclusion underpins each core responsibility area and is integrated into all aspects of the work.

  • You will identify areas in need of change and lead the implementation of new structures and programs/processes. You’ll also evaluate internal and external business drivers and environmental factors to encourage employees to adopt new changes.

  • You will identify gaps in the current people plan and programs, as well as lead the implementation of the holistic people plan. You’ll also help create the people plan for an assigned client, organization, or time zone.

  • You will identify talent strengths and needs, and help build strategic talent plans that align with organizational strategy, data, and budgets. You’ll also implement talent movement plans and develop the diversity and inclusion plan for an assigned client, organization, or time zone.

  • You will assess data and present findings on leadership effectiveness and performance, as well as coach senior leaders on improving leadership capabilities. You’ll also help leadership identify ways to drive clarity and address gaps in strategy execution.

Qualifications

Required/Minimum Qualifications

  • 9+ years work experience in HR Business Partnership, Human Resources processes or other related HR role.

  • OR Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field AND 7+ years work experience in HR Business Partnership, Human Resources processes or other related HR role.

  • Willingness to take on the position at a maximum term contract of 1 year.
