Senior Mechanical Engineer- MR

PURPOSE: We are seeking a talented and experienced MRI Gradient coil Mechanical Engineer to join our team. Principal accountabilities: • Develop groundbreaking structural designs that align with electromagnetic designs, meeting stringent performance criteria and high reliability. Performance including magnetic field precision, electrical insulation, vibration control, noise reduction, and thermal management. • Define and validate manufacturing process routes, persistently refining production efficiency and product excellence. • Design experiments to corroborate gradient coil performance and conduct life-cycle acceleration tests, furnishing robust data to enhance longevity and performance. • Supervise the manufacturing process to guarantee product consistency and dependability. • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including mechanical engineers, physicists, and technicians, to integrate gradient coil into MRI machines. • Develop and maintain design documentation, including schematics, specifications, and testing procedures. • Troubleshoot and resolve gradient coil related issues during the development and manufacturing process. • Prototype testing and validation, making necessary design adjustments based on test results. • Ensure compliance with industry regulations, safety standards, and quality assurance protocols. • Provide technical expertise and support to other engineers and team members. • Contribute to continuous improvement efforts by identifying opportunities for optimization in gradient coil design and manufacturing processes. 2. You're the right fit if: • Master's or Ph.D. degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field. • At least 3 years of hands-on experience in the design of MRI gradient coils or related areas. • Proficiency in CREO modeling software and other relevant design tools. • In-depth knowledge of various mechanical machining techniques (such as cutting, punching, drilling, etc.) and the ability to select the appropriate machining method based on requirements. • Exceptional teamwork and collaborative skills are paramount. • The capacity to work autonomously in a dynamic environment while proficiently managing multiple projects is key. • Outstanding communication abilities to clearly articulate complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences are imperative. • The leadership skills to guide small teams and mentor junior engineers are vital. • Strong understanding of superconducting materials and their properties. • Excellent problem-solving skills with meticulous attention to detail. • Effective communication and teamwork abilities. • Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and skilled in time management. Desired: • Familiarity with epoxy resin or plastic forming processes, including vacuum impregnation, injection molding, compression molding, and their applications in manufacturing. • Familiarity with Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) and the operational principles of gradient coils is beneficial. • Familiarity with quality control processes and industry standards in medical device manufacturing.
