Basic purpose of role/Why the job exists:

The Scan Specialist will work with the Customized Implant Design team and CPS team members to check and process incoming medical imaging scans (e.g. CT) for the design of patient specific implants. He or she will support the CAD development through analysis and segmenting of patient CT scans and communications primarily for the APAC team but also to internal global design teams and manufacturing. He or she will develop/maintain an expertise in Mimics software as well as medical imaging and anatomy.

Experience in conducting projects around driving process improvement, product feedback, and collaboration with cross-functional teams to ensure successful completion.

Qualifications and Work Experience Required

  • Degree in technical discipline or equivalent experience

  • 0-2 years’ experience in medical device industry or equivalent

  • Prefer previous experience/educational training in a CAD design package.

  • Prefer fundamental understanding of anatomy & medical imaging.

  • Prefer demonstrated customer service experience and strong verbal and written communication skills.
