Key Responsibilities
Description of duties & activities
1.Assist the Asia Pacific ITC Sr. Manager with:
Monitoring and communicating regulatory developments in the region
ITC training activities in the region
Tracking and responding to inquiries, requests, and other interactions with authorities
Developing regional ITC guidelines and standards
Migration, implementation, and enhancement of trade software applications in the region
Reviewing business ITC controls, conducting gap analyses, and formulating action plans
Monitoring and updating the Archer audit management system
Establishing and updating key performance indicators, trade metrics, etc.
Information gathering, dissemination, and reporting activities across the region (e.g., antiboycott reporting)
Other ITC projects and responsibilities as assigned
2.Liaise with and assist business and ITC personnel throughout the region with activities including, but not limited to:
Harmonized Tariff Schedule (HTS) and Export Control (ECCN) Classification
Non-Preferential Country of Origin determinations and marking
Free Trade Agreement qualification analysis and documentation
Antidumping (ADD) and Countervailing (CVD) Duty analyses
Restricted Party & Transaction Screening
Customs Valuation
Partner Government Agency requirements
Transaction Auditing
Developing and updating local work instructions and procedures
Education and Professional Qualifications:
Four-year undergraduate degree (or equivalent education outside the U.S., preferably in business, international trade, supply chain, legal studies, or a related field)
Two years of demonstrated Trade Compliance experience.
Requirements and Attributes:
REQUIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, & SKILLS:
Four-year undergraduate degree (or equivalent education outside the U.S., preferably in business, international trade, supply chain, legal studies, or a related field)
More than 3 years of demonstrated Trade Compliance experience.
Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
Proficient use of the English language (both spoken and written)
Ability to navigate and apply trade laws and regulations or be willing to learn.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and effectively prioritize and execute with minimal supervision.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
PREFERRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, & SKILLS:
More than two years of demonstrated trade compliance experience in the specified region.
Customs Broker License or similar certifications (e.g., Certified Import Specialist, Certified Export Specialist, etc.)
Graduate degree (e.g., MBA, JD, or equivalent education outside the U.S.)
Experience with Oracle business systems and/or Oracle Global Trade Management
Proficiency in other languages commonly used in the supported world region.
