Job Purpose

As an Omnichannel Shopper Manager you will be helping to grow the business by bringing our brands to life, in store and online, through crafting and implementing insight led, outstanding, omnichannel shopper marketing campaigns. You will develop effective strategies to convert shoppers at all points of purchase across the consumer journey, track return on investment (ROI) and optimize our plans. This will involve external collaboration with our retail partners and agencies, as well as internal cross-functional work with our brand marketing and customer development teams.

What you will do:

  • Bring our Brand Marketing plans to life at various points of the consumer journey, aligned with our Attention, Consideration, Purchase, Loyalty (ACPL) plans, customer growth strategies and channel or customer specific shopper insights, working closely with Category Management and Insights.

  • Drive sales, margin and customer engagement by delivering innovative shopper experiences, tailored for the right people, right time, right touchpoint, right message.

  • Project manage all shopper marketing execution, within timelines and budgets, by briefing agencies, adhering to customer guidelines, managing legal & marketing artwork approvals, implementing with excellence in store and online.

  • Supervise and share performance of shopper marketing activities across all points of purchase (in store and online) and continuously optimize our plans to increase ROI.

  • Own and supervise shopper budgets, reporting on progress as needed.

  • Work closely and collaboratively with our retail partners and agencies, as well as internally with our brand marketing and customer development teams. This role requires strong collaborator management and a proactive approach to problem solving.

  • Be the voice of the shopper within the UK & Ireland commercial organization.

  • Continuously learn and develop as a Shopper Marketing professional, staying ahead of industry trends. Mentor and guide the rest of the commercial team on shopper marketing, digital shopper engagement, retailer media developments, retailer media measurement and optimisation.

And your background holds:

  • Degree level qualification or equivalent experience

  • Strong background in packaged goods industry, including proven track record to use innovative marketing skills/practices and formulate plans to deliver key brand and customer goals

  • UK (or similar market) operational experience with exposure to customers and collaboration with broader teams (sales, marketing, category), including relevant eCommerce experience

  • Experience of budget planning and management and financial accountability

  • Understanding of retail environment (RE) Strategy, shopper touchpoints and key customer strategies

  • Experience of working with Tesco, delivering health and beauty campaigns that deliver disruption, creativity and a real point of difference.

  • Strong ability to influence others (needs to be comfortable managing cross organizational relationships)

  • Innovative - proven ability to champion new initiatives including gaining consensus across the organization and implementing new insights effectively
