Job Title: Machine Operator

Shift: 1 st , 2 nd & 3 rd shift

Location: Surgoinsville TN 37873

Duration: Temp to Hire

Essential duties and Responsibilities.

• Operate the tube cutter to produce the required quantity of tubes, ensuring they meet or exceed quality standards. Complete assigned daily production records.

• Troubleshoot the tube cutter and maintain tube straightness by adjusting straightening wheels and speed controls.

• Adjust and maintain block wheel alignment to produce quality tubes, ensuring they are cut to the correct length and end conditions that meet or exceed all quality requirements.

• Change cutter blades as needed.

• Perform basic preventative maintenance on tube cutters, including cleaning and lubrication.

• Adhere to established safety and environmental rules for this operation.

• Participate in required training.

• Ensure housekeeping and health & safety standards are maintained.

• Comply with facility or divisional standards such as TS 16949 and ISO 14001.

• Utilize continuous improvement and cost reduction concepts in job execution.

• Maintain acceptable attendance.

Required Education and/or experience.

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent

• Manufacturing Orientation

• Quality Training (Quality Systems, SPC)

• On-the-Job Training (OJT) for proper setup, operation, and maintenance of the tube cutter.
