We're looking for a high-performing senior leader to create and launch new product development processes to grow our ability deliver product solutions on behalf of our customers. You will invent ways for cross-functional teams to work better together, deliver better results, reduce development costs, scale our efforts, and improve our products and business results while aligning with stakeholders. Curiosity, creativity, and a desire to raise the bar on how we invent for our customers--this is a cornerstone of your daily work.

A day in the life

  • With your knowledge of industry-standard product development processes, analyze our current processes and propose improvements or new mechanisms that will better serve our customers while improving speed, cost, scalability, and cross functional collaboration with lowest cost & effort. This includes development processes with external partners.

  • Partner with Product Management, Engineering, Quality, and other cross-functional Operations and Finance stakeholders in the detailed development, deployment, and ongoing ownership of new development mechanisms.

  • Identify, propose, and develop new portfolio metrics tools and systems.

  • Guide teams through deployment of new mechanisms through hands-on guidance, training, and training materials.

  • Evangelize new processes with key cross functional teams.

  • Engage and influence cross functional teams for designing/modifying their processes for more effective product development.

Basic Qualifications

  • 5+ years of product or program management, product marketing, business development or technology experience

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent

  • Experience working across functional teams and senior stakeholders

  • Experience in influencing senior leadership through data driven insights

  • Experience with end to end product delivery

  • Experience with key program management techniques such as Gantt chart scheduling and planning, budgeting and budget management, risk mitigation, and communicating status and escalations.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in areas such as market research, statistics, finance or qualitative/quantitative research

  • Experience owning feature delivery and tradeoffs of a product

  • Experience in designing and managing product development processes and tools.

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $110,700/year in our lowest geographic market up to $206,000/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
