The catalog team is looking for a highly technical Senior Technical Program Manager to drive developer productivity, architecture simplification, and operational efficiency across our team. In this role, you will work closely with engineering managers, developers, and cross-functional partners to identify opportunities for improving processes, tools, infrastructure, and system architectures. You will be responsible for implementing initiatives that streamline development workflows, enhance collaboration, simplify complex architectures, and optimize operational processes.

As a TPM, you are empowered to:

  • Interact directly with executive sponsors to define problems and deliver large scale cross-functional projects spanning many teams.

  • Collaborate with engineering leaders to understand the team's challenges, pain points, and areas for optimization in the development lifecycle, system architectures, and operational processes

  • Lead efforts to simplify complex system architectures and reduce technical debt, ensuring long-term maintainability and scalability

  • Work closely with engineers and engineering leaders to gather feedback, understand their needs, and ensure that initiatives are aligned with their workflows and preferences

  • Identify, assess and mitigate risks, provide escalation management, anticipate and make trade-offs balancing the business needs versus constraints.

  • Create, maintain and disseminate project information to stakeholders

  • Evangelize best practices, share learnings, and promote a culture of continuous improvement, architectural simplicity, and operational excellence within the engineering organization.

Basic Qualifications

  • 7+ years of working directly with engineering teams experience

  • 5+ years of technical product or program management experience

  • Experience managing programs across cross functional teams, building processes and coordinating release schedules

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $133,900/year in our lowest geographic market up to $231,400/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
