The Alexa Mobile Team is looking for a Senior Product Manager, Technical who will help us bring that vision to life by building amazing customer experiences in the Alexa Mobile App.

As a Senior Product Manager (Tech), you will drive the vision and strategy for mobile experiences in the Alexa Mobile app. You will own top-level customer-facing experiences to drive daily engagement across a world-wide customer base . In this role, you will work closely with UX and Engineering teams as well as partner with adjacent teams to deliver critical consumer experiences.

This role requires the ability to think big, dive deep with technical teams, and work across partners throughout the larger Alexa ecosystem to deliver important features for Alexa. You must have a passion for building mobile experiences. You must be knowledgeable about iOS and Android capabilities and understand how Alexa Mobile can leverage OS specific features. This role requires strong data-driven decision making. It is critical that you can work backwards from the customer and think through the translation of customer needs to technical solutions with the help of your engineering partners. Customers love what Alexa can already do. They are even more excited about her future potential.

A successful candidate will be highly analytical, able to work extremely effectively in a matrix organization, have experience working with geographically dispersed teams.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Set the vision and strategy for primary experiences in the Alexa Mobile App. Define, build, and launch mobile experiences leveraging the unique capabilities of iOS and Android

  • Drive product development from concept to launch with a world-class team of engineers, data scientists, and UX design experts.

  • Learn and be curious about iOS and Android capabilities that can be leveraged for the Alexa Mobile experience. Stay informed on OS releases and be the team expert

  • Develop detailed, crisp business requirements and user stories that can be used to create product specifications and architecture for each product and application

  • Manage prioritization and trade-offs among customer experience, performance and operational support load

  • Create buy-in for the product vision both internally and with key external partners

  • Analyze and leverage data to drive decision making

  • Drive product launches including working with public relations team, executives, and other product management team members

A day in the life

You will define strategic direction, define new products and features to build, work directly with UX designers and engineers to deliver high impact experiences to customers, and dive deep into data to understand our customers.

About the team

We are the team building the Alexa experience on mobile devices through the Alexa Mobile App. This team works especially close with both product and UX designers to rapidly experiment and develop key features for a strategic area of the business.

Basic Qualifications

  • 5+ years of product or program management, product marketing, business development or technology experience

  • Bachelor's degree

  • Experience with feature delivery and tradeoffs of a product

  • Experience owning/driving roadmap strategy and definition

  • Experience with end to end product delivery

  • Experience contributing to engineering discussions around technology decisions and strategy related to a product

  • Experience managing technical products or online services

  • Experience in representing and advocating for a variety of critical customers and stakeholders during executive-level prioritization and planning

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience owning feature delivery and tradeoffs of a product

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $136,100/year in our lowest geographic market up to $235,200/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
