Meta Research Scientist Intern, Backplane Design (PhD) in Sunnyvale, California
Summary:
Our Teams are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Digital Design Intern. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work on cutting-edge backplane design projects and contribute to the development of innovative solutions for AR displays.Our internships are twelve (12) to twenty four (24) weeks long, and we have various start dates throughout the year.
Required Skills:
Research Scientist Intern, Backplane Design (PhD) Responsibilities:
Implement and develop array designs in <22nm tech nodes for AR backplanes.
Assist in the design and implementation of analog and digital circuits and system arrays.
Design and simulate digital and analog designs (e.g.: pixel circuits, etc.) using Verilog and other design tools.
Document design decisions and trade-offs
Participate in design reviews and contribute to the development of best practices
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure effective communication and coordination.
Continuously learn and stay up-to-date with new technologies and methodologies
Minimum Qualifications:
Minimum Qualifications:
Currently has, or is in the process of obtaining, a PhD in Electrical Engineering or related fields.
Must obtain work authorization in the country of employment at the time of hire and maintain ongoing work authorization during employment.
Knowledge of digital and analog electronics in VLSI arrays
Knowledge of Python, Matlab and Spice
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail

Tapeout experience in ≤50nm tech nodes (TSMC2216nm, gf22fdx(+), etc.)
Familiarity with netlist manipulations and troubleshooting large designs

Public Compensation:
$7,313/month to $11,293/month + benefits
