About The Role

CBRE is seeking a Summer Intern to participate in a 10-week program. This intern will bring and share their ideas and experiences to help build operational efficiencies for the Finance team focused around reporting, invoice processing, financial administration, professional development training, and other engagement and operations items.

The Intern will demonstrate self organization skills and the willingness to learn new things, while relying on the experience and the collaboration of others to plan and achieve project goals.

This is a hybrid position. The Finance Summer Intern will be required to work onsite at our Global Technology Client's office in Sunnyvale, CA.

What You’ll Do

  • Under general supervision, performs a variety of routine and non-routine accounts receivable, accounts payable, or other financial operations activities and functions to include vendor invoice processing, lease administration, and cash receipt applications.

  • Under general supervision, partner with Finance team members to increase data integrity and reporting accuracy.

  • Completes data entry and follow-up procedures to support a variety of accounts receivable and/or accounts payable transactions in accordance with established timeframes.

  • Conducts peer review of various financial operations accounting transactions to follow department policies and procedures.

  • Monitors, troubleshoots, and responds to internal and external inquiries.

  • Completes updates to applicable trackers and processing manuals for portfolio of assigned work.

  • Participates in internal and external audits as needed.

What You’ll Need

  • Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States without the need for visa sponsorship now or in the future.

  • Familiarity with Google Workspace and Microsoft Office suite.

  • Requires basic knowledge of financial terms and principles. Ability to calculate simple figures such as percentages.

  • Comprehend and interpret instructions, ask clarifying questions, and respond professionally to common inquiries.

  • Requires basic analytical skills and problem solving.

  • Strong communication, presentation skills and interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively work across various businesses and services lines.

*California Residents: CBRE carefully considers multiple factors to determine compensation, including a candidate’s education, training, and experience. The minimum hourly pay for the Finance Summer Internship is $25/hr and the maximum hourly pay for the Finance Summer Internship is $25/hr. The compensation that is offered to a successful candidate will depend on the candidate’s skills, qualifications, and experience.
