The Infrastructure Services Integrity Data Center Capacity Planning team is dedicated to driving global infrastructure data center space and power capacity allocation and availability to support the latest innovations in Apple’s product and service offerings!

Description

The successful candidate will work closely with Apple business and data center teams, including wholesale colocation providers in order to understand space and power requirements and efficiently administer Apple’s data center capacity. The scope of this role will be in both Apple owned data centers and Remote co-locations in different regions around the globe. The role includes the responsibility for all aspects of Apple’s data center space and power, and will require strong project, time and people management skills, including: - Driving multi-functional efforts: Drive meetings with product and service teams to facilitate technical and functional collaboration - Operational excellence: Careful management of deployment, decommission and relocation ticket queues to ensure uninterrupted service to partners. - Creating and managing project plans: Define vital technical tasks, dependencies, and establish clear timelines for Infrastructure Services teams to meet program objectives - Create technical roadmaps: Define vital technical tasks, dependencies, and establish clear timelines for Infrastructure Services teams to meet program objectives - Monitor progress: Track and assess progress towards achieving crucial program achievements, ensuring alignment with program objectives - Documentation management: Maintain detailed and comprehensive technical and functional documentation for stakeholders - Status reporting: Generate detailed progress reports on a weekly basis, communicating achievements, challenges, and timely updates to partners - Define design and implementation plans: Partner with product and service teams to develop design and implementation plans to introduce new high-performant, secure infrastructure solutions for enabling new products/services

Minimum Qualifications

  • Experience in program management (3+ years) in infrastructure services or related technical domains

  • BS/MS or equivalent experience in computer science, computer engineering, or similar technical field

Key Qualifications

Preferred Qualifications

  • Validated experience in program management (5+ years) in infrastructure services or related technical domains

  • Proficiency in defining technical program scope, establishing timelines, and handling dependencies within a sophisticated organizational structure

  • Strong technical problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret data and make strategic decisions

  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, ability to enable effective collaboration across complementary teams and partners

  • Meticulous approach with a focus on maintaining accurate technical documentation and progress tracking

  • Data Center Capacity Planning experience

  • PMP Certification

  • Strong influence, persuasion and interpersonal skills.

  • Crafting and leading project plans, Problem tracking and driving resolutions across teams.

  • Committed and results driven, Critical thinking skills

  • At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $165,500 and $293,800, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.Apple employees also have the opportunity to become an Apple shareholder through participation in Apple’s discretionary employee stock programs.
