ManpowerGroup Embedded Software Engineer III in Sunnyvale, California

Our client, a leading technology company, is seeking an Embedded Software Engineer III to join their team. As an Embedded Software Engineer III, you will be part of the Firmware Development Department supporting the Firmware Engineering and Testing Teams. The ideal candidate will have strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team, which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: Embedded Software Engineer III

Location: Onsite in Sunnyvale, CA or Seattle, WA

Pay Range: $70/hr. - $75/hr.

What’s the Job?

  1. Develop and debug firmware for micro-controllers, including real-time tasks (RTOS), bootloaders, and peripheral support.

  2. Troubleshoot and resolve software and firmware issues, including lockups, faults, and bugs, by analyzing logs and stack traces.

  3. Create and execute manual and automated test cases to ensure firmware functionality.

  4. Manage devices and provide logistical support, including lab and technical assistance, playtesting, and dogfooding.

  5. Collaborate with the team to continuously improve firmware and testing processes.

What’s Needed?

  1. 3-4 years of experience with embedded micro-controllers, such as ARM Cortex M0/M3/M4 architecture.

  2. Proficiency in C or C++ for firmware development, debugging, and testing.

  3. Experience with real-time operating systems (RTOS) and boot mechanisms for micro-controllers.

  4. Ability to debug and troubleshoot embedded systems.

  5. Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
