Summary:

Meta Platforms Inc. is seeking an ASIC Engineer, Architecture to join our Infrastructure organization. This organization is responsible for building and maintaining the data centers that host all of our services - Facebook, Instagram, WhatsApp etc. These servers and data centers are the foundation upon which our rapidly scaling infrastructure efficiently operates and upon which our innovative services are delivered. In this role, you will be an integral member of an ASIC team to build accelerators for some of our top workloads enabling our data centers to scale efficiently. You will have an opportunity to work with experts in the domain of video transcode, AI/ML and other technologies to evaluate algorithms, develop functional and performance models and help architect state-of-the art hardware accelerator ASICs. Required Skills:

ASIC Engineer, Architecture Responsibilities:

1. Work on advanced architecture, algorithms and simulation models targeting either video compression or Machine Learning solutions.

2. Analyze and map data center workloads to ASIC architecture.

3. Work with a broad array of cross functional partners in ASIC design, verification, silicon bring-up, firmware and software development to ensure the successful production deployment of the SoCs.

4. Implement architecture documentation and other collateral necessary for the use and integration of your designs.

5. Currently has, or is in the process of obtaining a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, relevant technical field, or equivalent practical experience. Degree must be completed prior to joining Meta.

6. Knowledge of Computer Architecture concepts such as hardware pipelining, memory hierarchy and on-chip interconnection networks.

7. Familiarity with C++ and object oriented programming principles.

8. Must obtain work authorization in country of employment at the time of hire, and maintain ongoing work authorization during employment.

9. Currently has, or is in the process of obtaining, a Master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or similar technical fields.

10. Experience and knowledge in machine learning architectures and frameworks.

Public Compensation:

$114,000/year to $133,000/year + bonus + equity + benefits
