STG International HR Generalist in Sumter, South Carolina

HR Generalist

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:   

· Manage all leave of absences, short term disability, long-term disability, and worker’s compensation claims

· Point of contact for initiating LOA, for FMLA, STD and worker’s compensation claims

· Interprets and clarifies LOA policies and addresses inquiries from employees, managers and Human Resource Generalist

· Analyzes STD/FMLA claims to determine eligibility in compliance with state and federal regulations

· Track absences and communicate return to work information to employees, supervisors, and managers

· Manage all invoicing processes and reconcile received payments for all benefit related contributions and premium payments for employees on leave

· Work cross-functionally with other HR Generalists

· Assist with employee relations matters in collaboration with HR Generalists

· Serves as staff support for various special projects and/or events

Required SkillsRequired Experience

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS:   

· Minimum of 2-5 years of progressive human resources generalist experience with broad knowledge of human resources operations, employee relations compliance and benefits.

· Prior federal government contractor experience a strong plus.

REQUIRED EDUCATION:  

· Bachelor’s degree in human resources, business administrator or related discipline preferred.

· Human resources certificate or PHR certification preferred.
