Summitville Laboratories, a division of General Shale, Inc., the nation's leading manufacturer of brick, masonry siding, and outdoor hardscape products, is seeking an Operations Assistant Manager at our grout and mortars manufacturing facility in Minerva, OH.

As an Operations Assistant Manager, you will play a crucial role in ensuring efficient, quality focused operations while maintaining positive relationships with outside vendors. Your ability to effectively communicate with internal and external channels will contribute to the overall success of our organization. Key Job Functions:

• This position requires a high amount of memorization and solid skills in supervision, organizing, records keeping, as well as coordination with internal and external groups
• Interface with production, shipping, maintenance, customer service, the sample departments, and on occasion, a company sales representative
• Coordinate and attend meetings with outside sales reps, suppliers, operations management, safety meetings, and meetings with the Lab Manager
• Tracking raw materials inventory, placing materials orders and follow up to ensure raw materials, packaging, and extra materials arrive in time, recording and reporting materials receipts.
• Collaborate with other team members to ensure timely and efficient operations
• Check on personnel with safety and productivity walk arounds throughout the day
• Able to lift 50 pounds
• Be part of the first responder team for CPR, first aid, and facility needs

Preferred Experience:

• 2-3 years of previous experience in operations supervisory or management role is preferred
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
• Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities
• Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment
• Proficient in using computer systems and software applications including Microsoft Office Suite
• SAP experience will be a plus
• Lift truck operator experience
• Experience training new hires
