Description We are offering a contract to permanent employment opportunity for a Credit Clerk in the government industry, located in Summerville, South Carolina. The role involves maintaining precise customer credit records, processing credit applications, and resolving customer credit inquiries. The successful candidate will also monitor customer credit accounts and take appropriate action to collect delinquent payments.

Responsibilities:

• Accurately process customer credit applications in a timely manner

• Maintain precise customer credit records, ensuring all details are up-to-date

• Resolve customer credit inquiries, providing excellent customer service

• Monitor customer credit accounts, identifying any delinquent payments

• Take appropriate action to collect delinquent payments while adhering to government regulations

• Manage petty cash transactions, ensuring accurate record-keeping

• Assist customers with payment processes, providing guidance where necessary

• Handle cash, checks, and credit card payments from customers

• Close out the drawers at the end of the day, ensuring all transactions are accounted for

• Assist in other banking activities as needed, maintaining a high level of professionalism and attention to detail at all times. Requirements • Must have previous experience in a similar role within the Government sector

• Proficient in handling and managing Petty Cash

• Strong numerical and financial management skills

• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in performing duties

• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines

• Proficient in using various billing software and applications

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

• Proven ability to work in a team environment

• Must possess strong problem-solving and analytical skills

• High level of integrity and confidentiality in handling public funds

• Must have a basic understanding of public sector financial regulations.
