Description

We are searching for a diligent Staff Accountant to join our team in Sugar Land, Texas. The primary function of this role will be to manage the financial operations of the organization, particularly focusing on vendor invoices and payments. The successful candidate will have a significant role in maintaining the organization's financial health by ensuring the timely and accurate processing of all vendor invoices and payments. This role will interface with operations in China so bilingual Mandarin language skills are a must.

Responsibilities:

• Accurately receive, review, and process vendor invoices in a timely manner.

• Verify invoice details, including pricing, quantities, and payment terms, and enter them into the accounting system for payment processing.

• Prepare and process electronic payments, including checks, ACH transfers, and wire transfers.

• Reconcile payment transactions and ensure accuracy in financial records, addressing and resolving any discrepancies with vendors regarding payments.

• Communicate with vendors to address inquiries and resolve issues related to invoices and payments, establishing and maintaining positive relationships with key vendors.

• Ensure compliance with vendor contracts and payment terms.

• Reconcile accounts payable transactions and resolve any discrepancies, performing monthly reconciliations to ensure accuracy of financial records.

• Assist in month-end and year-end closing processes.

• Generate and analyze accounts payable reports for management review, providing regular updates on outstanding payables and cash flow projections.

• Ensure adherence to company policies and procedures related to accounts payable.

• Stay informed about changes in accounting regulations and compliance requirements.

• Identify opportunities for process improvement and efficiency in accounts payable procedures, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement best practices.

Skills:

• BBA in Accounting or Finance.

• Proficiency in Accounts Payable with eagerness to grow in your career.

• Bilingual Mandarin Language skills

• Experience with SAP software.

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years experience in a Staff Accountant role or similar.

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field.

• Proficiency in Accounts Payable (AP) is required.

• Experience with SAP software is preferred.

• Strong knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles.

• Experience with financial reporting and financial statement preparation.

• Excellent mathematical and analytical skills.

• Ability to handle multiple tasks and meet tight deadlines.

• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

• Bilingual Mandarin Language Skills.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.

• Must be legally authorized to work in the country where the job is located.
