ABM Industries Senior Analyst in Sugar Land, Texas

Overview

The Senior Analyst supports the overall Data and Analytics (D&A) program by working closely with D&A, Project Owners, and other key stakeholders to track progress of D&A initiatives, clarify dependencies with other enterprise initiatives, perform market analyses and financial estimations where needed (in partnership with finance). This will be a REMOTE position w/light travel included.

The Senior Analyst reports to ABM’s Head of Data and Analytics with focus on a national client.  

PAY: $65-85K

The pay listed is the salary range for this position. Any specific offer will vary based on the successful applicant’s education, experience, skills, abilities, geographic location, and alignment with market data.

*ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS *

  • Stay in sync with the product owners on priorities and day to day decision making 

  • Support the product owners in collaborating with other teams and leadership to ensure team strategy aligns with overall product vision 

  • Define, implement, and track performance metrics once solution enters production 

  • Prep and support the team on product demos as needed working with the product owners 

  • Work with Product Owner to catalog requirements, perform analyses, analyze data to refine priorities and user stories related to D&A products 

*MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS *

  • 2-5+ years of experience. 

  • Problem solving ability to identify next steps, execute and track progress on business related tasks related to D&A use cases (e.g., validating business process changes needed, documented current state and target state for use cases etc.) 

  • Advanced financial modeling ability to use Excel to build models that help size of the value of use cases working in partnership with the pricing analyst. 

  • Effective communication skills with ability to present complex messages and communicate the nuance on the status and next steps of various initiatives. 

  • Detail orientation to track steps needed and align stakeholders across initiatives across the business  

  • Ownership mindset and ability to work across functions to coordinate on complex tasks and dependencies. 

  • Hunger for continuous improvement and a desire to be challenged. 

  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, dynamic, results-oriented environment.

  • Knowledge of business and industry trends and applications across all lines of business for competitive analysis.

  • Collaborative, work well within a small, high-performing team. 

  • Minimal travel required (less than 10%). Currently working as a virtual team with exception to occasional site visits & annual audit visits. 

TECHNICAL SKILLS

  • Advanced in Excel - ability to build financial models, perform quick analyses using pivot tables

  • Skills in Access, VBA, or Hyperion would be preferred

  • Intermediate Tableau / Power BI user able to develop ad-hoc analyses by joining and analyzing moderate sized datasets and exports. 

  • PowerPoint, Microsoft Word based reporting and presentation delivery.
