The Director, Human Resources Business Partner provides Human Resources (HR) leadership for Corporate functions at ABM. This role leverages HR expertise/experience to help solve business problems; provides leadership support in the design, development, communication and delivery of HR services and initiatives intended to meet the goals of our Corporate functions and ABM collectively; and directs and leads efforts to improve team member development, engagement, productivity, retention and measures effectiveness. The ideal candidate will be located in TX and able to office in Sugar Land or will be located in NY and able to office in Manhattan.

Essential Duties

  • Work with VP-HR on delivering and executing upon the strategic initiatives of our Corporate functions and owning the HR agenda

  • Directs and manages all aspects of HR services and initiatives, including collaborating primarily with leaders

  • Partner with HR Centers of Excellence to deliver programs to meet organizational goals

  • Partner with leaders on performance management, engagement and team member development

  • Drive HR Talent goals in collaboration with leaders on action plans and initiatives focused on improving performance and increasing team member engagement and retention

  • Analyzes trends and metrics, seeking opportunities and strategies to improve trends in retention and key indicators of team member engagement to make informed decisions

  • Partner and strategize with Learning & Talent Development to develop workforce plans that respond to current and future talent needs with a focus on diversity, inclusion and equity.

  • Partner and strategize with Learning & Talent Development to ensure we are deploying key programs focused on core competency development.

  • Partner with Legal and Field HR Partners as needed on day-to-day management of team members, reducing legal risks, and ensuring regulatory compliance.

  • Provides HR policy guidance and interpretation.

  • Provides guidance and input on business restructures, workforce planning and succession planning.

  • Identify and drive the sharing of best practices across functions to facilitate continuous improvement.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources Management or related field

  • Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in Human Resources, including COE experience

  • Minimum of 3 years of significant human resources experience at the management level

  • Clear, comprehensive understanding of the link between talent, HR initiatives and business strategy

  • Strong consultation, communication and influencing skills

  • Ability to effectively influence, and develop productive relationships throughout the organization

  • Demonstrated intellectual agility, interpersonal flexibility and self-motivation

  • Exposure to strong process and project management discipline

  • Effective team player and networker

  • Preferred experience partnering with Corporate functions

Pay: $150,000 - $200,000

The pay listed is the salary range for this position. Any specific offer will vary based on the successful applicant’s education, experience, skills, abilities, geographic location, and alignment with market data.

You may be eligible to participate in a Company incentive or bonus program.
