ABM Industries Billing Account Support Services Team Lead in Sugar Land, Texas

Overview

Billing & Account Support Services (BASS) team is responsible in leading the contract set up process to provide ABM clients with timely and accurate invoices. The BASS Lead Specialist is a main point of contact for internal and external customers to assist with facilitating anything ESC-related, including but not limited to Payroll, Accounting, Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivables. This role partners with the Sales team, Operations team, and the Client to provide a seamless onboarding and maintenance experience.

Job Responsibilities:

  1. Coordinate onboarding meetings with the Client, Sales / Operations / Billing teams to discuss account specifics

  2. Validate invoice standardization prior to the execution of the contract

  3. Attend calls consistently, depending on frequency (weekly, monthly, quarterly) with Operations / FP&A / Sales on potential clients or accounts in the pipeline

  4. Connect with new clients to introduce BASS and the ABM Welcome Kit

  5. Facilitate any required SN tickets for job set-up in ERP and boundary systems

  6. Execute a quality assurance process to ensure ongoing compliance with SLAs and billing completeness

  7. Ensure activities are performed in accordance with the Company’s policies & procedures to ensure Revenue Recognition and SOX Compliance requirements are met

  8. Address internal & external escalations, as well as high profile and/or complex situations in a timely and accurate manner

  9. Manage and support accounts in assigned areas

  10. Monitor BASS team activities with contract maintenance and account set up

  11. Respond and fulfil internal audit requests

  12. Work closely with the Accounts Receivable Department to implement processes that contribute to faster cash receipt turnaround

  13. Perform duties and special projects as assigned

Minimum Requirements:

  1. College degree or three (3) years of finance related work experience

  2. Minimum of one (1) year leadership experience

  3. Proficient conflict resolution abilities

  4. Knowledge of ASC 606 preferred

  5. Experience with financial / SOX requirements preferred

  6. Beginner to Intermediate Microsoft Office skills (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel)

  7. Intermediate to Advanced Excel skills (v-lookups, sum-ifs, pivot table, etc.) preferred

  8. Experience with large ERP systems, JDE and Oracle Financials preferred

  9. Experience with ServiceNow and Corrigo preferred

  10. Excellent oral and written communication skills

  11. Strong sense of urgency for addressing internal and external customer needs

  12. Strong attention to detail

  13. Strong interpersonal, client service, and organizational skills

  14. Strong ability to prioritize tasks and effectively manage time

  15. Willingness to accept new challenges and responsibilities

  16. Work well in a team environment and support others within the group when needed
