Description

We are offering an exciting opportunity for a diligent Staff Accountant to join our team in Suffolk, Virginia. In this role, you will be tasked with managing various accounting functions, including maintaining accounting policies, AP and AR. This role requires a detail oriented with a strong understanding of accounting principles.

Responsibilities:

• Reconcile financial discrepancies by collecting and analyzing account information.

• Verify, allocate, post, and reconcile transactions.

• Analyze financial information and summarize the financial status of the company.

• Review and recommend modifications to accounting systems and procedures.

• Participate in financial standards setting and forecast process.

• Prepare financial statements and produce budget according to schedule.

• Communicate effectively with clients and contribute to a strong client relationship through positive interactions with client personnel.

Requirements

• Proficient in Accounting Software Systems

• Ability to manage comprehensive Accounting Functions

• Experience with Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR)

• Familiarity with Billing Functions

• Must adhere to the highest ethical standards

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• Detail-oriented with the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously

• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (preferred)
