Planate Management Group (PMG) is a Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) headquartered in Alexandria, Virginia, and Orlando, Florida USA with technical support centers in South East Asia and East Africa, that provide program management and facilities engineering services worldwide. Planate is a small business provider of planning, design, infrastructure management, technical consulting, engineering, and construction management services in support of the US Department of Defense (DOD) and its Service (Army, Air Force, Navy, Marine Corps) missions, along with other US federal agencies, all over the world.

We are looking for dedicated and hardworking Kitchen Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will assist in food preparation, maintain cleanliness in the kitchen, and ensure efficient operations to deliver top-notch meals to our customers.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Assist with food preparation, including chopping, cooking, and plating dishes.

• Monitor ingredient stocks and reorder when necessary.

• Ensure kitchen cleanliness and maintain hygiene standards.

• Work closely with chef and other team members to ensure smooth operations

• Coordinate with kitchen staff for timely preparation of meals.

• Follow food safety standards and procedures.

• Assist in inventory management and stock replenishment

• Perform other responsibilities associated with this position.

Qualifications to be successful in the role:

• At least 2 years of previous experience as a Kitchen Assistant

• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment

• Strong attention to detail and time management skills

• High school diploma or equivalent; culinary education is a plus

• Knowledge of food safety standards and kitchen sanitation practices

• Open to working a flexible or rotating schedule

• Willing to work in SBFZ
