Where the team fits in

Our Financial Services division is a key new business line for the group, which aims to support our customers in meeting their property goals whether they wish to engage with us directly or via a mortgage broker for their home finance needs.

This role sits within our Mortgage Choice broker aggregation business and its purpose is to facilitate the sales growth and utilisation of our White Label (Mortgage Choice branded) solutions.

Supporting the Director, National Panel Partner Solutions and working within the broader Partner Solutions team, the specific emphasis of this role is to maximise the growth and utilisation of our White Label product solutions, which are a key growth focus for the business. The role is predominantly focussed on residential mortgage white label product solutions but may also include commercial, asset finance and other solutions.

What the role is all about

Your major responsibility in this role is to drive sales growth of our White Label solutions by establishing strong relationships with the Mortgage Choice broker network, Mortgage Choice State Teams and our white label partners. Specific performance areas include:

Deliver sales performance and sustainable growth:

  • Achieve sales objectives in accordance with set targets

  • Establish and execute an effective broker engagement and sales plan

  • Use of data analysis to target work effort to areas that will yield the best return

  • Look for additional product sales opportunities from brokers where relevant, including Asset Finance, Personal Finance, Commercial lending and general insurance opportunities

  • Build and deliver sales training decks, webinars and training

  • Identify and deliver actionable insights to Mortgage Choice management and white label partners to further enhance product, process and broker engagement

Build and maintain strong, healthy working relationships with all stakeholders including the Broker network, the Partner Solutions Team, State Teams, White Label partner management and Sales teams:

  • Ensure a high level of stakeholder satisfaction with your service delivery

  • Ensure all stakeholder requests are addressed in a prompt manner

  • Hold a strong action and outcome based orientation in all dealings

  • Become a subject matter expert and “go-to” person by:

  • Establishing a comprehensive understanding of White Label products, credit policy and processes, and their similarities and competitive points of difference with substitute panel solutions

  • Establishing a comprehensive understanding of Mortgage Choice’s systems and processes

  • Establishing a comprehensive understanding of Mortgage Choice brokers’ sales processes

Who we’re looking for

To be successful, you will:

  • Demonstrate at least 3 years recent experience in mortgages with a financial institution or mortgage broking business

  • Have completed a certificate IV / Diploma in Finance & Mortgage Broking or undergraduate degree

  • Demonstrate strong interpersonal skills, focussing on relationship management, communication, presentation, facilitation and mentoring capabilities

  • Show flexibility and adaptability in how you go about your work and demonstrate a strong problem-solving mindset

  • Be thorough, details-focussed, precise and take pride in all aspects of your role

  • Good core computer skills (Microsoft productivity suite, CRMs, MIS tools, etc.)

  • Be able to adapt to and learn changes in our technology platforms and processes

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
