JOB REQUIREMENTS: JOB LOCATION: 2139 County Road O, Sturgeon Bay, WI 54235 (Door County) JOB DUTIES: Responsible for evaluating, developing, and implementing effective herd nutrition and health programs to maximize milk quality and quantity for commercial dairy operation. Specific duties include: (1) evaluating the diets of individual cows and developing individual nutritional plans to ensure a balanced diet that will maximize milk quality and quantity and promote overall health; (2) developing and implementing herd nutrition protocols; (3) evaluating feed quality to maximize milk quality and quantity; (4) developing and implementing feed quality and safety programs; (5) ensuring feed is stored safely to avoid mold and fungus growth; (6) maintaining detailed records of all herd nutritional programs; (7) identifying animals with health problems; and (8) implementing hoof health programs.
