Robert Half Accounts Payable Specialist in Studio City, California

Description

A Manufactuing company in Studio city looking for a skilled Accounts Payable Specialist to be responsible for processing all invoices received for payment and for undertaking the payment of all creditors in an accurate, efficient, and timely manner. They will be a part of the finance team and will play a vital role in managing the overall expenditure of our business.

Responsibilities:

  • Process invoices and maintain accounts payable ledger, ensuring all bills and expenses are paid in an accurate and timely manner.

  • Verify the accuracy of vendor invoices and confirm all transactions.

  • Reconcile purchase orders, receipts, and invoices to ensure consistency and accuracy.

  • Prepare and schedule payments and transfer funds in a timely manner.

  • Resolve invoice discrepancies and investigate questionable data.

  • Coordinate with internal departments and vendors to address and resolve billing issues.

  • Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual accruals.

  • Maintain accurate records of all accounts payable transactions and archived data as per company policy.

  • Assist in the development and implementation of new procedures to improve the flow of payable accounts.

  • Ensure compliance with all financial regulations and adhering to company policies.

    Requirements

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.

  • Proven work experience as an Accounts Payable Specialist or in a similar role.

  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and accounts payable processes.

  • Proficiency in MS office, particularly MS Excel, and accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks).

  • Excellent data entry skills with an eye for detail and familiarity with spreadsheets and ledgers.

  • Ability to perform mathematical computations accurately and quickly.

  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to prioritize work effectively.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • A strong sense of integrity, professionalism and confidentiality.

  • Ability to work within strict deadlines.
