ACCOUNTABILITY/MANDATE

· Need to transform the SQA organization into a self-sustaining group with robust controls to manage risk and improve overall supplier performance

Source Inspection (FAI's), Audits & Audit Checklists

· Source Inspection and FAI review at suppliers. Approval of FAI's in Net Inspect. Support VERIFY.

· Maintain and control Supplier System Audits (AS9100/NADCAP/VERIFY)

· Product Audits (DSIP Delegated Supplier Inspection Program -- HPS012)

Corrective/Preventative Action

· Investigation and follow-up (Proactive C/A) including 8-step RCCA

· Acceptance of all supplier C/A's in NMS system

· Supplier Corrective Action review & training (as applicable) with focus on follow-up

· Escape Resolution

· Support Quality Improvement Plans & SPSI (Supplier Paid Source Inspection) where needed

Supplier Maintenance

· Maintain/Add/Delete all supplier Approvals by completing the appropriate forms. BaaN & HD ASL to be updated with this info.

· Evaluation of New Suppliers working with Procurement including initial visits

· Supplier Training

· Maintaining the DSIP suppliers assigned to you

· Support weekly SQA group meetings

· Support CAB reviews with Data metrics (Qlikview/NMS) to support the sites

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE

· University graduate (preferred)

· Processing -- hands-on experience with the following (Chrome, Cad (LHE, Ti-Cad), Prime, Paint, HVOF, Anodize (Chromic, Sulphuric & Hard), Nickle , S.P., H.T. & NDT

· Experience with Aerospace Landing Gear (Manufacturing/Machining of Low Strength Alloy Steels, SS, Titanium, Aluminum, Aermet, etc.)

· Computer literate and familiar with MS Excel, Word, Powerpoint, etc.

· BaaN MRP experience considered an asset

· Minimum five (5) years of Aerospace Quality Experience preferred

· Minimum two (2) years Aerospace Auditing experience preferred

· Ability to interpret technical aerospace drawings and 3D models/CATIA.

· Previous work experience in Landing gear with Bombardier, Collins, Safran, Boeing, Lockheed, Bell considered an asset

· Recognized (AS 9100 preferred) auditor training experience an asset

COMPLEXITY/ANALYSIS

· Excellent communication skills and professional attitude working with suppliers

· On-Site supplier visits major portion of work scope (often changes in schedule or last minute planning required)

· High level of responsibility in meeting daily inspection eg. Visual/dimensional/technical requirements.

· Much of the work will be done independently (must make decisions on their own or with little supervision)

· Decision making skills based upon technical knowledge and "know-how"

· Extensive travel is required (USA -- Cleveland/Central region predominately)

GENERAL/OTHER

· Excellent communication/interpersonal skills

· Bilingualism (English & French) an asset

· Must be located in the Ohio area and work out of either Strongsville/Springfield plants to support primarily the HDI Landing Gear Operations. Support will be needed as well for the rest of the Landing Gear Division.
