Job Summary: The Product Engineering Manager is responsible for the execution of one or more projects under development by the customer from product concept to volume production, and manages the day-to-day customer order fulfillment activities. Job Description: Perform as liaison between the customer and the internal business team, managing the transfer of information and requests. Assure timely resolution of issues, keep the customer advised of the progress of the program, and negotiate changes, variations and solutions to issues. Manage MT's understanding of customer designs, product requirements, product development, and ensure MT will be part of customer's product roadmap. Analyze new customer designs for capability to manufacture. Coordinate with various functions within the company, including operations, procurement, supply chain, and quality managers to ensure customer requirements are handled appropriately, including but not limited to delivery/service, quality complaints, cost down roadmaps, quality roadmaps, price models, etc... Coordinate material management between suppliers, internal machining, and customers to ensure lead-times are met. Attend regular production and other meetings to coordinate information. Support Technology team in related new product development projects and application engineering team with adjacent customer projects. Travel 20% domestically and internationally. Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities: Knowledge of program management tools and procedures. General knowledge of operations, including scheduling, procurement, manufacturing, inspection, and quality systems. Ability to understand, track, and question activities and issues in all functional areas and influence sound business decisions based upon that information. Attention to detail and exceptional organization and follow up skills. Good communication skills and ability to interact with internal and external customers. Strong influence-management, negotiation, leadership, and assertiveness skills. Strong computer skills (MS Office suite). Minimal qualifications: BS or MS in semiconductor related science and engineering fields. 5 years of semiconductor industrial experience in program management, product management, applications engineering, process engineering, new product development. Must work independently and in multi-disciplinary teams. Strong written and verbal communication skills in English. Preferred Qualification: PMP certification. Familiar with semiconductor OEM equipment, materials, processes, and quality requirements. Experience in marketing and technical sales.
