We have partnered with a subsidiary of a very large global manufacturer. They are bringing on a new Plant Controller to oversee accounting and finance. This person will be responsible for managing the financial operations of a 300-person plant. This role involves overseeing all financial planning and analysis, cost accounting, budgeting, and reporting activities. The Plant Controller will ensure accurate financial reporting and provide strategic financial guidance to the plant management team to drive profitability and operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

• Financial Management: Oversee all financial operations and ensure the accuracy of financial records. Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements. Manage the plant's budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes. Ensure compliance with all financial regulations and standards.

• Cost Accounting: Develop and maintain the plant’s cost accounting system. Analyze cost variances and implement corrective actions to maintain cost control. Conduct regular reviews of product costing and margin analysis.

• Reporting and Analysis: Provide timely and accurate financial reports to plant management and corporate headquarters. Perform detailed financial analysis to support business decisions. Identify trends and provide insights to drive business performance. Internal Controls and Compliance: Establish and maintain a robust system of internal controls. Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements. Coordinate with internal and external auditors during audits and reviews.

• Strategic Planning: Partner with plant management to develop and implement financial strategies. Support capital investment decisions through financial analysis and modeling. Drive initiatives to improve financial performance and operational efficiency.

• Team Leadership: Lead and develop the plant’s finance team. Provide training and mentorship to ensure team members’ detail oriented growth. Foster a collaborative and high-performance culture within the finance team.

• Operational Support: Collaborate with operations, supply chain, and other departments to support plant performance. Provide financial insights to drive process improvements and cost reductions. Support the implementation of lean manufacturing and other operational excellence initiatives.

  Requirements

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field

• CPA or CMA preferred.

• Minimum of 7-10 years of progressive experience in accounting/finance, with at least 3-5 years in a manufacturing environment.

• Strong knowledge of cost accounting, financial analysis, budgeting, and forecasting.

• Experience with SAP is preferred.
