The Hilton Garden Inn Stony Brook is seeking a Part Time PM Laundry Attendant, where your attention to detail and passion for cleanliness will help create a warm and welcoming experience for our guests!

Hilton Garden Inn Stony Brook is located on the beautiful campus of Stony Brook University. Our hotel has 135 guest rooms, over 3,800 sq. ft. of event space, and is home to our very own restaurant Northern Coast Kitchen & Cocktails.

*This Positions is a PM Position from 5PM-11:00PM*

What will I be doing?

As our Laundry Attendant you will:

  1. Operate washing and drying equipment, load and unload laundry from machines. Measure and administer cleaning agents to laundry according to product specifications.

  2. Monitor feeder information on washers, make sure all drums are full, and report any irregularities to immediate supervisor.

  3. Set the proper drying and cooling times for different types of linen.

  4. Clean up machines and surrounding areas.

  5. Comply with attendance rules and be available to work on a regular basis.

  6. Perform any other job related duties as assigned.

What are we looking for?

Previous experience in Laundry or housekeeping is a plus, but not required. The ideal candidate will have the ability to identify and remove stains, check for damages, and ensure that all linens meet the hotels high standards of cleanliness and presentation. You must have the capability to stand for extended periods, lift and carry heavy loads (up to 40 pounds), and handle repetitive tasks such as folding and sorting linens.
