Nightwing Network Systems Engineer Cyber Opns (SME) in Sterling, Virginia

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Advanced Degree in Systems Engineering

  • 10+years' experience in project management roles involving IC collection system development, testing, and deployment

  • Substantial experience working with the full range of sponsor's operational and technical elements to develop and execute novel technical collection operations

  • Substantial experience leading the development of concepts to leverage customer capabilities to enable other IC partner accesses and operations

  • Substantial experience supporting complex dataflows, including front-end processing, selection, compression, re-sessionization, and presentation in analytic tools for exploitation

  • Substantial experience within high-capacity traffic flows

  • Substantial experience integrating cyber capability modules across internal and external development teams, including planning and executing acceptance testing and operational readiness exercises

  • Substantial experience developing tailored exploitation capabilities

  • Substantial experience leading technical development to both adapt traditional cyber capabilities in non-traditional operational scenarios and to develop new capabilities to fill critical gaps

  • Expert-level knowledge of the TCP/IP stack

  • Expert-level knowledge of both wireless and wireline Layer 2 protocols

  • Intermediate-level knowledge of commercial cryptographic protocols

  • Demonstrated ability to produce robust written project management documentation

  • Ability to brief senior-level audiences on technical and operational development projects
