SAIC System Integration Lab Technician in STERLING HEIGHTS, Michigan

Description

SAIC is seeking a talented and motivated System Integration Lab Technician to join our Contractor System Integration Lab (CSIL) team in Sterling Heights, Michigan.

This role demands an in-depth understanding of electronics systems, with a focus on supporting the team in lab operations, equipment management, and the maintenance and troubleshooting of complex systems. The ideal candidate will bring experience in electronics to help us achieve our mission.

Responsibilities:

  • Lab System Understanding/Responsibility : Gain a comprehensive understanding of all test systems within the SIL, ensuring they meet operational requirements and standards.

  • Policy and Procedure Development : Develop, implement, and maintain lab policies and procedures to standardize operations and ensure compliance with safety and regulatory standards.

  • Lab Equipment Management : Oversee the inventory, maintenance, and procurement of lab equipment, ensuring tools are available and functional for SIL operations.

  • SIL Operations Management: Support the day-to-day operations of the SIL, ensuring projects are completed efficiently and effectively.

  • Cable Fabrication : Utilize expertise in cable fabrication to support lab projects and maintenance.

  • Troubleshooting and Diagnosis: Apply advanced troubleshooting and diagnostic skills to identify and resolve electronic system faults.

  • Repair, Maintenance, and Installation: Ensure the repair, maintenance, and installation of electronics are carried out to high standards, maximizing system uptime and reliability.

Qualifications

Required Education:

Bachelors and zero (0) years related experience; four (4) years of experience considered in lieu of degree.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience with cable fabrication, troubleshooting, diagnosis, repair, maintenance, and installation of electronic systems.

  • Exceptional ability to develop and implement lab policies and procedures.

  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.

  • Excellent communication and leadership skills, capable of working collaboratively across departments.

Desired Knowledge:

  • Understanding/troubleshooting of Automotive Electronics Systems.

  • In-depth knowledge and experience in system laboratory operations, with a focus on electronic systems.

  • A strong understanding of the latest industry standards and technological advancements in electronics and lab management.

Clearance:

Must have the ability to obtain and maintain a full Secret clearance.
