HA Industries Controls Engineer in Sterling Heights, Michigan

H/A Industries has been around for 30+ years specializing in automation and assembly products for automotive and non-automotive industries. We are looking for an experienced Controls Engineer to join our growing team.

The Controls Engineer will provide technical support and programming for automation and assembly system designs and modifications. The right candidate will be able to deliver results in a fast-paced, growth-focused environment. Experience with Infrared Welding, Ultrasonic Welding, Hot Air Cold Stake, robot integration, and automated assembly equipment preferred.

Responsibilities •    Designing and developing control systems to meet project requirements •    Collaborating with project managers and other engineers to ensure project completion within the given timeline and budget •    Performing system diagnostics and troubleshooting to identify and correct issues in real-time •    Conducting system simulations and testing to ensure functionality and performance •    Developing specifications and detailed documentation for control system design •    Ensuring compliance with safety regulations and quality standards •    Programming and configuring PLC (Programmable Logic Controller) based systems •    Providing training and technical support to maintenance staff and users •    Keep up to date with the latest technology trends in control engineering •    Contributing to the continuous improvement of control systems and practices •    Provide technical support for system installation, maintenance and troubleshooting. •    Comply with project schedules and industry standards •    Trouble shoot software and hardware issues •    Load software packages •    Develop and install vision systems

Qualifications •    Proven work experience as a Controls Engineer or similar role. •    Strong knowledge of control theory, system dynamics and control systems. •    Proficiency in programming languages such as Allen Bradley, Siemens, Mitsubishi, MQTT or Ignition. •    Familiarity with PLCs, HMI, RTU's, and other control systems. •    Experience with CAD software. •    Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills. •    Ability to document requirements and specifications. •    BS degree in Electrical Engineering, Control Systems Engineering or 10+ years' experience in a related field. •    Gefran experience a plus
