In order the strengthen our geoscience organization we are looking for an experienced Geoscientist for our integrated Geoscience organization based in Stavanger, Norway.

Job description
The work location for this position will be based “in-house” for a major Norwegian oil and gas operator. There will be daily internal and external engagement to understand our customers challenges and long-term Geoscience goals and objectives. By using Halliburton’s services and technology, the successful candidate will deliver bespoke integrated solutions to help out customer meet their goals.
The primary roles and responsibilities are as follows:
Gain an understanding of the customers sub-surface reservoir, fluid and petrophysical challenges
Integrate LWD and ultra-deep electromagnetic inversions to improve sub-surface models and reservoir description
Provides recommendations on equipment capabilities and advises customers and field personnel on technical complexity and operation
Being responsible towards the customer for sensor measurements, log responses and petrophysical workflow results
Responsible for LWD/WL pre-job modeling, operations follow-up and data delivery QC
Develop integrated workflows from all Geoscience domains to propose innovative solutions to solve complex problems in the Digital and machine learning era
Assists in publishing commercial and technical successes
Develops and maintains personal relationships with the technical customer base
Qualifications
10+ years as a Petrophysicist, LWD or Wireline Technical Advisor, Geoscientist or an equivalent customer facing position where being deployed “in-house” will be an advantage
Experience integrating Well Logs, Core Analysis, mudlogging and other geoscience data is required
Geoscience experience in a broad amount of projects/clients
Strong Technical subsurface knowledge in both Geoscience and Drilling
Customer facing experience in a technical job role with a proven track record in developing solutions
Bachelor degree (BSc) in Petroleum Engineering (Master is preferred), Geology, Science or strongly related fields
Processing of borehole image logs, structural dip picking, NMR and NMR 2D diffusion interpretation is beneficial
Experience with Petrophysical and Geoscience softwares such as DS Petrophysics, Geolog, IP, Techlog, DS Geoscience, Petrel, IRAP RMS
Fluency in English verbally and written required, beneficial with a Norwegian language
Excellent communication skills
Solution oriented, adaptable and flexible to move within Norway
Personal qualities
Candidates that are team oriented, collaborative and exhibit good communication skills will be preferred. You need to work in a structured manner and the position requires that you champion the Company's HSE and SQ procedures.
