Robert Half Payroll Specialist in Staten Island, New York

Description

As a Payroll specialist for this Healthcare client, you will play a crucial role in ensuring accurate and timely payroll processing for our diverse workforce of approximately 2,000 employees. This role requires expertise in ADP payroll systems and a comprehensive understanding of both union and non-union payroll processes. You will be responsible for managing both salaried and hourly employee payroll, adhering to regulatory requirements, and maintaining confidentiality and accuracy in all payroll-related tasks.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Utilize ADP payroll system to process bi-weekly payroll for all employees, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies and legal regulations.

  • Manage and process payroll for both union and non-union employees, understanding and applying relevant collective bargaining agreements and wage structures.

  • Calculate and process various payroll adjustments including overtime, shift differentials, bonuses, and deductions accurately and promptly.

  • Stay updated on federal, state, and local payroll laws and regulations to ensure compliance, including tax withholding, wage garnishments, and other statutory requirements.

  • Address employee inquiries and concerns regarding payroll matters promptly and professionally, providing excellent customer service.

  • Collaborate with HR and Finance departments to ensure seamless integration of payroll data and resolve any discrepancies or issues.

  • Generate and analyze payroll reports as needed for management and auditing purposes.

  • Maintain payroll records and documentation in accordance with company policies and legal requirements.

  • Participate in payroll-related projects and initiatives to enhance payroll processes and efficiency.

  • Uphold confidentiality and integrity in handling sensitive payroll information.
