Job Description:

Packaging/Utility I - Stanley, WI

Job Summary - Under limited supervision, performs various duties in the on the packaging line and across the plant. The duties may vary by day and hour, may vary based on assignment.

Essential Job Functions

  • Ensure food safety and quality

  • Operate mill and package materials

  • Clean and refill dust collectors

  • Wash and sanitize floors, dryers and all production equipment

  • Help on dryer startup

  • Assemble hammer mills

  • Setup and tear down of production equipment

  • Assemble tape machine and scales

  • Move ingredients to and from warehouse

  • Accurate documentation of daily production

  • Dump totes into mills

  • Collect samples for quality testing

  • Work toward the goals and expectations of the plant and this position

Qualifications

To be considered for this opportunity, candidates must meet the following criteria:

  • Commitment to ADM’s goal of achieving a zero injury culture; understand and follow company safety procedures

  • Exhibit regular and prompt attendance

  • Learn and exhibit safe forklift operation

  • Able to meet physical requirements of the position including, but not limited to: prolonged periods of standing and sitting, working in confined spaces and from heights, bending, kneeling, climbing stairs and ladders, working in a variety of conditions (heat, cold, dust, etc.) and lift up to 55 lbs unassisted

  • Maintain accurate record keeping

  • Willing to work any shift and overtime if necessary

  • Demonstrate initiative to work independently while flexible enough to work in a team setting when needed

  • Exhibit a professional image at all times; maintain a positive and respectful attitude

  • Any other duties as assigned

Working Conditions

  • Humidity: 90% to 30%

  • Due to the wide variety of tasks, this job can be exposed to a variety of environmental conditions

  • Special Hazards: mechanical, electrical, chemical

  • Work overtime as necessary, including some weekends

  • Protective Clothing Required: Hardhats, earplugs, safety glasses, steel-toed shoes, gloves, chemical and rain suits

Physical Requirements

  • Frequently move up to 50 lbs.

  • Sit

  • Stand

  • Move from area to area

  • Remove refuse from grounds and department floors

  • Transport raw materials & chemicals to equipment from storage areas

  • Position self to conduct work at various heights

  • Rotate body

  • Operate forklifts and scissors lifts

  • Ascend/descend from various levels

  • Adjust valves and dials as instructed

  • Repetitive use of hands
