TheStanford Center on Early Childhood, an initiative of theStanford Accelerator for Learning, seeks a full time Senior Coordinator to join our team. The Senior Coordinator, under the direction of the FIND Program Manager, will plan, administer, and execute the vision, strategy, and goals of FIND Professional Development (FIND-PD), an adaption of theFilming Interactions to Nurture Development (FIND)video coaching program to an online, self-paced training for early care and education providers.

Note: This position is a 1-year fixed term appointment that may be renewed based on performance and funding. This position is eligible for a remote work agreement and limited travel may be required for convenings and events. ABOUT US

Housed at StanfordGraduate School of Education, the Stanford Accelerator for Learning (SAL) is a research hub that connects experts from the sciences, medicine, engineering, law, and humanities to expedite learning solutions for all learners. The first university-wide initiative to connect Stanford scholars across disciplines with external partners in the field, SAL bridges research, innovation, practice, and policy to achieve true system change. SAL is currently focused on six areas of research that show high need and high promise for transformational change. These areas include digital learning, early childhood education, learning differences, equity in learning, policy and systems change, and adult and workforce learning.

The Stanford Center on Early Childhood (SCEC) is an initiative of the Stanford Accelerator for Learning. The SCEC leverages the current moment of revolutionary science and fosters deep omnidirectional collaboration across sectors, seeking to change the way that research in early childhood is conducted, communicated, and utilized, with the overarching goal that each and every child thrives from the start.

POSITION SUMMARY

The Senior Coordinator will work under the direction of the FIND Program Manager to plan, administer, and execute the vision, strategy, and goals of the FIND Professional Development (FIND-PD) program. In this role, the Senior Coordinator will be responsible for creating and/or advising on the development of training content in both English and Spanish, promoting the program through advertising efforts and building partnerships with early childhood state departments and professional development organizations, evaluating the program to support continuous improvement efforts, and expanding a video library of educator-child interactions.

The Senior Coordinator will oversee project timelines, ensure key milestones and deliverables are met, identify and allocate resources (e.g., personnel, time, and equipment), and implement quality control processes. They will help identify and mitigate project risks, manage project tasks through effective delegation and monitoring, and document team decisions and processes. They will also contribute to writing reports and recording insights.

The Senior Coordinator will play a significant role in creating training content for early care and education providers using authoring tools such as Articulate 360, Learning Management Systems like Learning Lab, PowerPoint, and iMovie, and manage the Spanish language adaptation and translation of FIND-PD content. They will lead efforts to expand the video library, including identifying and cultivating relationships with early care and education directors and providers, filming caregiver-child interactions and identifying instances of sensitive, responsive caregiving for inclusion in the video library, and managing associated video library logistics, media releases, participant payments, and file organization. Additionally, they will also facilitate workshops for filming partners and manage associated logistics.

This role requires a detail-oriented, proactive, and collaborative individual with strong project management skills and the ability to effectively communicate and work with diverse stakeholders. Proficiency in both English and Spanish is highly desirable.

Your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Oversee and administer research activities by evaluating academic programs, making recommendations that impact policies and programs, and coordinating and implementing changes.

  • Collect and analyze data, create reports, review and explain trends to determine program effectiveness; formulate and evaluate alternative solutions and/or recommendations to achieve the goals of the program.

  • Teach and/or assist in the teaching and administration of courses. Create and/or advise in the development of curriculum. Make recommendations for course improvements.

  • Write and edit content for proposals, peer-reviewed publications, and other program activities under the general direction of PI. Assist with the development of research grants, (i.e., may suggest new funding opportunities, write portions of grants, and/or summarize data for grant support).

  • Represent the program or function as the key contact and subject matter expert within the department, unit or school and develop communications for internal and external constituencies. Organize and/or participate in outreach activities such as events, partnerships, fundraising, training, and conferences. Lead workshops and facilitate meetings.

  • Monitor expenses, budgets, and finances of the program. Make recommendations on funding based on program spend.

  • May train and supervise staff.

To be successful in this position, you will bring:

  • Bachelor’s degree and two years of relevant experience or combination of education, training, and relevant experience. Advanced degree may be required for some programs. Program administration and or research experience may be required.

  • Demonstrated oral, written, and analytical skills, exhibiting fluency in area of specialization.

  • Ability to oversee and provide basic direction to staff.

Preferred Education & Experience:

  • Experience working in the fields of early childhood development or education

  • Experience with professional development and/or adult learning

  • Ability to develop and enhance relationships with external partners, including but not limited to state departments of early learning, professional development and child care organizations

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

This role is open to candidates anywhere in the United States. Stanford University hasfive Regional Pay Structures. The compensation for this position will be based on the location of the successful candidate.

The expected pay range for this position is $54,000 to $87,000 per annum for remote positions.

The expected pay range for this position is $70,000 to $99,000 per annum for Stanford Work Location positions.
