Summary of Role:

  • Deliver a comprehensive HR Service to the business by proactively advising on HR best practice.

  • Have a clear understanding of how the business operates and commercial objectives.

  • Support the people management functions that underpin the business culture, including but not limited to employee relations, recruitment & selection, compensation and benefits, engagement, ESG, professional growth and communications.

Main Responsibilities :

  • Partner with business leaders on initiatives that engage associates and promote retention of key talent; champion the company’s values and culture and continue the company’s ability to attract, engage and retain high performance teams.

  • Operate as a trusted partner with Senior Leadership Team (SLT) and Senior Management Team (SMT) coaching and advising on all people issues.

  • Provide guidance and coaching to managers/supervisors and support them with all HR related matters, in accordance with HR policies and procedures, best practice and employment legislation.

  • Lead the promotion of DE&I as part of the culture of the organisation.

  • Design and implement comprehensive employee engagement programs that align with the company’s strategic goals and culture, including recognition initiatives, team-building activities, and wellness programmes.

  • Facilitate focus groups and one-on-one interviews with employees at all levels to gather feedback on workplace satisfaction, engagement drivers, and areas for improvement.

  • Performance Management: coaching managers to be effective managers of performance and potential for employees.

  • Support talent acquisition activity for the site up to and including the successful on-boarding of new starters.

  • Manage talent reviews, benchmarking, development plans and succession planning.

  • Total reward: advise and support employees on company benefits. Advise managers on pay and other remuneration issues, including promotion and benefits.

  • Lead compensation reviews and projects in line with company processes and guidelines.

  • Policy & procedures: secure implementation and maintenance of up-to-date HR policies, procedures and processes in line with PCI group practices. Ensuring Polices are in line with employment legislation.

  • Ensure managers are up to date with changes to any policies.

  • Employee Relations: Deal with disciplinary/grievance and HR issues, using HR and company knowledge evidencing appropriate decision-making skills.

  • Crafting of business and people solutions with other PCI HR Site Leaders.

  • Monitor and analyse HR metrics and provide regular reports to senior management on HR operations and trends.

  • Manage and assist with the roll out of HR initiatives within the business, meeting high standards of quality, delivery and professionalism.

  • Establish and maintain relationships with all stakeholders, internal and external to the organisation.

  • Embrace the continuous improvement culture and seek to ensure that opportunities to evolve the service are taken.

  • Partner with Regional L&D to identify skills gaps within the organisation and develop programmes to upskill employees.

  • Payroll Support: Actively support the management of payroll process.

  • Identify areas for development and opportunities for improvement with regards to the HR function and service. Promoting continuous improvement principles.

  • Support/lead on HR projects to deliver business improvements.

  • Attend seminars and training workshops as part of Continual Professional Development.

  • Undertake additional tasks and projects as appropriate.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • At least 5 years HR post qualification experience.

  • Highly effective communicator with the ability to influence and build trusted partnerships at all levels and a proven track record of delivering high performance through consulting & coaching, with experience working directly with senior leaders.

  • Change management experience.

  • Experience of working within a global organisation is beneficial.

  • Commercial experience, in particular pharmaceuticals is desirable.

  • Working knowledge of Irish Employment Law and Practice is essential.

  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.

  • Previous experience with Workday highly desirable.

  • Meticulous, well-organised and able to work independently to meet deadlines.

  • Excellent written and spoken communication skills.

  • Strong and effective interpersonal skills.

  • Maintains levels of high confidentiality.
