Insight Global Security Architecture & Engineering Lead in Stamford, Connecticut

Job Description

Insight Global is looking for an Information Security Architecture & Engineering Lead to sit remote for a large reinsurance client. This lead is a member of the IT Security Team who leverages extensive experience in Information Systems and Cloud technologies to develop strategies and solutions that support the business and protect against threats over the long term. The Information Security Architecture & Engineering Lead proposes and promotes standards and works closely with other IT practice leads to ensure adoption of secure designs and practices. This role will manage up to 4 people and will spend 20% of their day working on adhoc requests, 20% developing standards, (once they publish standards the ad hoc requests will go down) they will define standards and configuration guidelines, 25% doing research and staying up to date on the tech stack they are dealing with and the other 25% will be doing 1:1s with their team, making sure hey are evolving and producing as well as interfacing with them regularly to help out and guide/ mentor them. The last 10% will be spent reviewing submissions for new apps that they are building or buying and doing threat modeling for both applications and infrastructure The person coming into this role should still be able to be technical if needed and help out from a technical standpoint. Pay is between $75-85/hr.

Skills and Requirements

-2-3 years of recent experience leading Security Architecture and Engineering Teams (2-5 people)

-10+ years of strong recent Security experience

  • Strong recent experience working in an Azure environment

  • Extensive hands-on experience operating one or more common IT infrastructures ( Telecom, database, Windows and *NIX systems, virtualization platforms )

  • Proficiency with scripting / programming languages ( e.g. Python, Powershell)

-Experience with threat modeling for new applications or infrastructure

-Recent experience contributing to the development and maintenance of the information security strategy Data Security Background null
