Job Description:

As a Director of Captive Leasing, you will be responsible for the overall operational and financial performance of the Captive Leasing line of business. You will develop and drive all aspects of the strategic plan to grow the Captive Financing solutions associated with the mailing and shipping business while delivering outstanding financial results. You will use your extensive knowledge of equipment finance and lease accounting to design financial programs and offers that are easily adopted by various Sales channels and provide innovative and effective financing solutions to clients. You will ensure implementation of effective portfolio management strategies and continue to provide strong financial leadership and sales support across all channels.

Responsibilities:

  • Drive the financial outcomes by meeting/exceeding all key performance indicators. These include: new business volume, mix of business, lease penetration (LSR), client retention (LCR), coupon/yield, asset levels (NEA/NFR), write-offs and delinquency.

  • Drive asset growth through alignment with Sendtech business

  • Develop and leverage targeted leasing programs to increase the sales pipeline, win new customers, convert the existing lease base and maximize financing opportunities.

  • Be an engaged passionate leader providing oversight and training to financial sales support personnel.

  • Develop strategies, and take action to decrease client attrition rates, maximize profitability margins and client retention rates, and drive increased lease conversion rates.

  • Own exception lease pricing and structured transaction pricing and approvals to win profitable business

  • Mitigate risk and address issues resulting in negative financial performance.

  • Develop/approve modifications and updates to all lease documentation and own the pricing and lease contract language associated with all Bids and RFPs.

  • Collaborate with senior leaders in stakeholder business groups to foster positive working relationships and synthesize regional requirements and priorities.

  • Direct and oversee all system related activities to develop and implement pricing programs and accurately maintain the integrity of all the leasing rate structures/tables.

  • Work cross functionally to maintain the accuracy of the booked portfolio to improve customer satisfaction and ensure the timely and precise invoicing of all finance contracts.

  • Design/improve functions and operational processes with clearly established governance and controls.

  • Ensure all processes are strategically developed to drive business financial outcomes consistent with small business lending benchmarks.

  • Establish policies and procedures that ensure compliance with required regulations. Ensure all processes and procedures meet SOX, compliance and other industry best practice standards.

  • Challenge status quo and drive reporting automation, innovation, and operational optimization.

  • Establish performance expectations and accountability across Captive Leasing organization to ensure outcome is aligned with overall FS strategy.

  • Communicate projects, progress and results via presentations to Senior Management.

  • Recruit, onboard and participate in planning, training, development, engagement and the retention of talent.

Qualifications:

  • 7+ years of leasing and finance experience providing an in-depth knowledge of all aspects of the equipment leasing and finance business with a solid understanding of lease accounting principles.

  • Possess strong business and financial acumen to maximize P&L performance within a financial organization while minimizing portfolio losses.

  • 7+ years of management experience in a financial organization with the ability to lead and influence across levels and functions both internally and externally.

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, business or marketing. MBA a plus.

  • Demonstrates executive presence with higher levels and outside entities.

  • Critical thinking and problem-solving skills with a proven ability to work through complex problems and provide thoughtful concrete solutions.

  • Demonstrate a strategic and forward-thinking mindset with the analytical capability to turn data into industry-based insights and strategy.

  • Adept at learning the business, creating internal partnerships, fostering collaboration, and recommending strategies that fit the Organization / Operations culture and business model.

  • Proven ability to effectively manage multiple competing priorities with high attention to detail.

  • Strong presentation, verbal, and written communication skills with the ability to articulate complex ideas in easy-to-understand business terms to all levels of management.

  • Exhibits strong analytical skills, good listening skills and the ability to effectively coach and mentor others.

  • Effective team and people management skills with the ability to lead with influence.
