The Space Dynamics Laboratory (SDL) is seeking a highly skilled System Administrator to join our Command, Control, Communication, Computers, Intelligence Surveillance Reconnaissance (C4ISR) Division, Mission Systems Branch (MSB). This role is essential for ensuring the successful program execution for our Department of Defense (DoD) customer.

We are looking for a detail-oriented candidate with strong verbal and written communication skills who can effectively manage multiple tasks. The ideal candidate should thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment, be self-motivated, reliable, and capable of initiating tasks independently.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Serve as a subject matter expert, working closely alongside the customer

  • Ensure seamless integration of all hardware and software, minimizing potential issues

  • Collaborate daily with representatives from various corporate entities

  • Engage in software requirements and design analysis, threat and vulnerability assessments, secure software architecture analysis, software test evaluation, and application integration

  • Assist with the installation and configuration of information systems and their components

    Required Qualifications:

  • Must be a U.S. citizen

  • Must possess a DoD security clearance

  • Bachelor’s degree

  • 10+ years of relevant experience

  • Proficiency with Windows OS, including managing user accounts, group policies, Active Directory, and ensuring the security and stability of Windows-based servers

  • Experience in network administration, including configuring, monitoring, and troubleshooting network devices such as routers, switches, firewalls, and access points

  • Active participation in management meetings, discussions, committees, and special projects

  • Willingness to travel as needed, though travel is not typically expected

  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment, collaborating with both internal and external team members

    Preferred Qualifications:

  • Familiarity with product life cycle management and configuration management tools and software

  • Knowledge of NIST Risk Management Framework (RMF)

  • Experience in providing support for the implementation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of IT systems

  • Proficiency in configuring and installing systems hardware and software, as well as maintaining server and domain security requirements

  • Experience in designing, implementing, and maintaining cloud-based applications in compliance with customer security guidelines
