ManTech is seeking an Administrative Security Specialist who is looking for an exciting new opportunity to display their skills in programs with the Department of Defense (DoD). The Administrative Security Specialist will participate in execution of the National Industrial Security Program in accordance with the NISPOM

This is an on-site position.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Individual must be well-rounded in their understanding of Industrial Security with an emphasis in Access Control and Personnel Security.

  • The person selected for this position will be required to exercise positive control of a variety of tasks to include Access Control duties, opening and securing areas, ensuring that only appropriately cleared personnel are allowed physical access to the facility based on need-to-know, tracking incoming visitors, meeting management, document control, and front desk phone skills in a professional and efficient manner.

  • Need to be a self-starter and able to perform professionally with little to no supervision.

  • Strong working knowledge of the NISPOM.

  • Activities will include personnel security, physical security, and operations security.

  • Coordinate with customer security as needed to maintain situational awareness of security issues, alerts, and notifications.

  • Must be comfortable providing short security presentations and answering questions about security procedures and security requirements, in keeping with both Company and Government guidance.

  • Must possess strong written communication skills and have the ability to write and communicate complex concepts to government customers and technical staff.

  • Works closely with project teams, operations staff as well as civilian, government, and military personnel. Position requires an active Top-Secret clearance with the ability to obtain SCI.

  • Assists Facility Security Officer (FSO) with DISS accuracy and management, periodic re-investigation requests, eQIP requests

  • Familiar with Security Information Management System (SIMS) to support personnel clearances, visitor control, and document control.

  • Conduct security indoctrination, refresher, and termination briefings

  • Assist the security team in preparation for security assessments and inspections

  • Badging and Access Control

  • Additional duties as required

Duty hours are from 6:30-3:00 but must have flexibility to occasionally support early/late customer meetings

Education and Experience:

  • Would like the candidate to have a minimum of 2+ years security experience with bachelor’s degree but will consider equivalent combination of education/work experience

  • Must be knowledgeable in all disciplines of personnel security

Preferred Experience:

  • DISS Knowledge preferred

  • FSO Certificate is desired

Security Clearance Requirements:

  • TS/SCI required

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50%

  • Needs to occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc.

  • Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a calculator, copy machine and computer printer

  • Frequently communicates with co-workers, management, and customers, which may involve delivering presentations

  • Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situation
