Position: Purchasing Accountant Date: 6/3/2024 [[Classification: [[Regular, Full-Time, Non-Exempt *Reports To: President [[Department:[[ Conservation *[[Purpose of Position: [[This position coordinates and monitors the implementation of grants and contracts to ensure compliance with programmatic and fiscal requirements and federal regulations. *[[Job Summary: [[Coral World Ocean and Reef Initiative (CWORI) operates on multiple locally and federally funded grant programs every year requiring strict adherence to programmatic and fiscal guidelines. This Office position acts as the main financial point of contact for granting agencies to ensure funds are obtained, used, and reported on promptly and appropriately for ongoing and future projects. The Finance Office oversees general organizational accounting and works closely with departmental Directors to ensure compliance in all aspects of grant program implementation, particularly on project spending and financial reporting. Prepare financial, statistical, and operational reports related to grants and participate in grant specific audits {=html} 4. Provide assistance on financials in the preparation of grant performance reports submitted to grant agencies {=html} 5. Maintain asset registers in accordance with CWORIs asset management policy {=html} 6. Provide technical assistance to grant writers to ensure clarity and conformity with program objectives and compliance with policies and outcomes required by the funding agency/organization {=html} 7.
