Rate: $16.00-$18.00/HR

SECURITAS SECURITY SERVICES is looking for extremely friendly individuals to fill customer service security guard positions in areas near you. The ideal candidate would always possess a positive attitude and professional demeanor. These positions require individuals to be on their feet for long periods of time standing and walking.

DAILY JOB FUNCTIONS:

• Follows post orders as instructed per the site

• Access control- monitoring visitors, checking badges, etc.

• Patrols premises- extensive amounts of walking- GREAT EXERCISE!

• Reports suspicious activity

• Responds in emergency situations

• Preserves order

Position Requirements:

• 21 years of age or older

• High School Diploma or GED Required

• Standard computer / technology skills needed

• Must be reliable, accountable, punctual, and have a strong work ethic

• Must have a strong grasp of appropriate and professional verbal / written communication

• Conflict resolution and de-escalation skills a plus

• Customer service background preferred

• Must be able to interact with a wide range of individuals in a professional manner

• Must be able to conduct patrols throughout shift

• Must have great attention to detail

• Must be comfortable conducting access control duties

• The ability to utilize a tablet, computer or smartphone

• With or without reasonable accommodation, the physical and mental requirements of this job may include the following: seeing, hearing, speaking, and writing clearly. Occasional reaching with hands and arms, stooping, kneeling, crouching and crawling. Frequent sitting, standing and walking, which may be required for long periods of time, and may involve climbing stairs and walking up inclines and on uneven terrain. Additional physical requirements may include; frequent lifting and/or moving up to 10 pounds and occasional lifting and/or moving up to 25 pounds

• Must be able to meet and continue to meet any applicable state, county and municipal licensing and permit requirements for Security Officers and armed security work and specific protective device and weapons qualifications

• Works in environments and under conditions that require carrying authorized weapons and ammunition, the use of protective gear and devices, and awareness of personal safety and safety of others

• Required to utilize rapid and effective judgment in responding to unusual or emergency situations using appropriate escalation of force level

• Must have a reliable means of communication.

• Valid Driver's License - not required for all sites

• Driver Certification

• Must be able to conduct foot / mobile patrols throughout shift

• Must be available to work at least 2 out of 3 shifts
