Job Summary: The Program Support Specialist will provide individualized support and coordination of services to members who participate in supplemental benefit services through healthcare partnerships with Lutheran Social Service of Minnesota. This position is responsible for supporting the members by providing outreach, scheduling services, communicating with care coordinators and other community agencies along with ongoing administrative duties which include office and program support, compiling program information into report form, monitoring and maintaining record keeping and filing systems, as well as assisting in the creation and coordination of program marketing efforts/materials. Qualifications and Requirements: High School diploma (or equivalent GED) required.A two-year technical degree in Business, Accounting or related field is preferred. 3+ years of experience in human/social service, healthcare and/or older adult service required. Completion of Community Health Worker certificate program at an accredited Minnesota institution is preferred. Multilingual abilities are preferred. Ability to work with individuals and families from diverse backgrounds with care and compassion. Training in the area of computer skills, bookkeeping and accounts receivable, computer spreadsheets and word processing, excellent communication and customer skills is required. Skills also include organizational skills, problem solving and the ability to work both independently and as a member of a team. Knowledge of resources available in program participant's community preferred. A valid driver's license and a clean driving record are required.
